Originally scheduled to travel to Cancun in April of 2020, the Harriman family had to be flexible when their trip was cancelled because of Covid-19. They rescheduled for October 2020, and everything was going smoothly until tropical storms were going to hit Cancun during their trip. The Harrimans pivoted yet again and decided to go to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico instead, and finally found themselves relaxing beachside at the Paradisus Los Cabos.

“The highlight of our trip was just being away from regular life routines and having quality family time. The ocean water was blue and beautiful. The pool was huge and amazing. We all loved the swim up bar. The kids loved having fun(non-alcoholic) drinks in the pool, trying flavors, and ordering food whenever they wanted.  

As far as Covid, we wore masks in the airport and on the airplanes. Once in Mexico the same rules apply. Masks on cab ride to hotel. If we left the resort, we took our masks. I don’t feel Covid affected our trip much at all. 

I recommend this resort for couples or families. It’s beautiful, huge, clean, and we were treated like royalty. The pool was only open until 7pm. We were a little disappointed by that because the kids love night swimming, but we had so much fun all day. The resort provided water volleyball and water aerobics and other miscellaneous activities to keep us all entertained.

If you are going solely for the beach, keep in mind that many of the beach areas are not swimmable. It’s a very rocky area. The rip tides were very strong when we were there so we could only go out a few feet. The sand is not sandcastle building sand, so if you are going with small kids who like to play in the sand, it’s not that kind of sand. More like little pebbles of shell. That all being said, it was soooo beautiful. Breathtakingly beautiful.  

Booking with Grueninger Travel was a great experience. We will use them again for sure!!  Highly recommend. We tried this trip back in April and Covid cancelled that trip as everything shut down. Grueninger was able to get everything refunded and rebooked with no work on our part.”
